Ian Martin is a Texas Master Plumber (TSBPE License #47421) with more than 20 years in the plumbing trade. He came up the way most plumbers do: a plumbing apprenticeship, journeyman and foreman work in the field, and years of commercial plumbing installation.
From the field he moved into plumbing detailing and design, building a plumbing CAD department and leading plumbing and mechanical coordination on large commercial and industrial projects. Today he leads virtual design and construction and reality capture programs, which keeps him close to how plumbing is designed, coordinated, and built right now.
Ian holds an Associate of Science in Construction Trades: Plumbing Trade (High Honors) and is completing a bachelor's degree in business administration. He teaches construction management and plumbing courses at the college level.
He started Texas Plumber CE because continuing education should make you better at the work, not just check a box. Every course is written and taught by Ian personally.
